Flavor: I usually have a tough time figuring out mystery flavors, but this one came to me pretty quickly. As with all Hubba Bubba Max varieties, this gum starts out with a punch of flavor and fades fast. At first, I was sure that the mystery flavor here was (drumroll please...) sour cherry. I was pleased to discover a cherry flavor, as there's a shortage of cherry flavors in the gum market these days, but Hubba Bubba Max already offers Sweet & Sassy Cherry, and I'd be interested if a blind taste test would shed some light on whether or not this is indeed the same re-marketed gum. Upon further chewing, however, I detected a fruit punch undertone, and wonder if that was the mystery unveiled. Perhaps we'll never know. But even so, I'm pretty sure there's a fruit punch Hubba Bubba out there, too.
Texture: The pieces are giant, great for bubble blowing and looking really cool on the playground. It's your standard Hubba Bubba base, through and through.
Presentation: Apparantly, question marks indicate mystery flavors these days. First Stride Mega Mystery, then Juicy Fruit Juicy Secret, and now Hubba Bubba Max Mystery Flavor. I suppose it makes sense, but I wish Hubba Bubba had gone out on a limb and gone with a more creative design. Being a very kid-centric company, they have the flexibility in design to really be tacky and fun, and this just sort of falls in line with all the other boring "mystery" flavors out there.
Overall: I don't know what I was expecting, but I was a little disappointed with this mystery flavor. I want to be baffled, I want to have an argument about what the flavor could be, but this just feels like a very easily answered question. If any of y'all disagree, please comment and let me know what you think of this so-called "mystery."
Rating: ooo (three gumballs)

My first thought on this was actually pink lemonade. It certainly has a punch-like flavor, but the pack I got also had kind of a sour kick to it.
And now that I see that description I can't help but think they should have called it "Karate Lemonade" or something like that.
I know this flavor; I saw a commercial for it in England a few years ago. Its Cherry Lemonade.
Weren't they releasing this a long time ago though!? ha and now they're callin it a mystery?
we all know that this is cherry lemonade, hubba bubba!
TAKE a lookie at the link!
HA! Looks like they discontinued chery lemonade than re-released it as a new flavor...
FOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLZZZZZZ
just found your blog :) love all the reviews you do on gums!! shame this flavour wasnt so much of a mystery!
This gum is Hubba Bubba Max Cherry Lemonade.
As soon as I tasted it I thought it was Cherry Lemonade.
It's a mystery in America but they already know what's going on over in Europe.
Actually, this flavor was released in America a few years ago, since I remember seeing it at the gas station, and my friend had some. They discontinued the flavor, and then re-released it as a mystery. They did the same thing to the Juicy Fruit Juicy Secret. It was Extra Fruit Sensations Berry Pearadise. They just want you to think it is a mystery gum, even though many people know the flavor.
sour cherry lemondade. i work there lol.
cherry and lemon :)
I had something similar 20 years back when when i was in Dubai..but it wasn't the so called Hubba Bubba Mystery Flavor. By the way i bought this Hubba Bubba today 17th Dec 2011. Just wondering about the naming of the product.
It was Hubba from Wrigley back in 1979...that was when they released their first gum. Good old Hubba Days !!
if you try the lemon/cherry filled twizzlers, the taste is identical!
CHEEEEEEEERRRTTT LEMMONNNADDEE EERRIEEEE
It definately has a very gingery flavor in the begining (i just ate a piece) folllowed by you were right a fruit punch flavor it was really not that good of a flavor together, so i rest my case the flavor is:
Ginger/cherry

THE FLAVOR IS HUBBA BUBBA MAX CHERRY LEMONADE, PEOPLE!!!!!
I JUST bought a pack of this last night... so IDK if this is old or they're still making it but my first thought too was Cherry Limeaid Or what Cherry Limeaid usually tastes like with candy and gums... It's great, I'm gonna have to go back and grab a few more packs. I usually buy Bubblicious but Hubba Bubba's flavor lasts slightly longer... Hopefully HB makes as many diff flavors as BBL...
I am gunna try the Cherry one I love cherry flavour... Do they still do HUBBA BUBBA CREAM SODA (Both Gum and actual Soda drink) ??? the drink was so nice !!!
A long time ago they had a pink lemonade flavor and it looked exactly like that if I remember correctly. Maybe that is what it is!
I think it had more of a peach or mango flavor over cherry like y'all are suggesting so my guess would be peach mango citrus twist
tfor all of those that know already. they are playing on the younger generation's curiousity.... it's awesome tasting to me because I missed out on the first go around with it and am pleased they rereleased it
I wish they would have a pink lemonade gum somewhere anywhere. I dont see it anywhere.
Gum tasted great but I'm disappointed there was only one flavour. With a name like "Mystery Mix" I was expecting several flavours paired with unlikely colours.
Definitely a lemonade cherry taste.
Hubba just came out with a Hawaiin Punch flavor in Dec 2013. Please bring your reviews back!
