pür gum - eXcitemint

This review is sponsored by our friends at pür gum!

Flavor: This has got some serious power! Nasal-clearing, breath-freshening, throat-cooling awesomeness in a pellet. It's one of the stronger mints I've tasted, and it's just fantastic. Go ahead - eat that garlic bread. With pur in your pocket, you've got nothing to worry about. The flavor has nice longevity, also - mellows a bit, but stays flavorful and minty.

Texture: Starts off a bit on the tough side, but softens up as you chew. It should be noted that one pellet is kind of small, it takes two to get a nicely-sized wad.

Presentation: As with other pür gums we've reviewed, this is your quintessential no-frills packaging. pür lets the gum do all the work, as it should be.

Overall: If this gum weren't aspartame free and soy free, it would still be an awesome gum. The added health benefit of no aspartame, and the awesomeness of an option for the soy-allergic are icing on the gumcake. Another win in a fab line of gum.

Rating: ooooo (five gumballs)

Also five gum came out with a new sour tropical flavor called Swerve. This flavor is going to be in the US. Here is a picture of 5 gum swerve: http://www.candydirect.com/wrigley-5-gum-swerve-15-stick-pack-10-count?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse&utm_term=5%20Gum&utm_campaign=Chewing%20Gum&utm_content=wrigley-5-gum-swerve-15-stick-pack-10-count

Since when are these guys sponsored? How can I trust their reviews now?

Tony - Occasionally gum manufacturers will send us their products to review. It's stated in our FAQ (http://www.gumalert.com/2010/06/gumalert-faq.html) that they do so knowing that our reviews will always be truthful and honest. The vast majority of the gum we review is purchased by us. We will always post a "This review has been sponsored by..." statement at the top of the posts where the gum has been donated to us.

no longer will I rely on this site for fair reviews. Gum is cheap. You should not be reviewing gum you received for free from the company. That is bribery.

Anonymous, if you would take a minute to read our FAQ, you would see that we do accept samples for review, but the companies send them to us with the knowledge that we will always be fair, truthful and honest. We're big fans of pur gum regardless of the fact that they occasionally send us product for free!

I bought Excitemint in a large package. It came in tablet form there was about 6 packages. This gum is awful. When you first put the tablet in your mouth it is very bitter til the table softens to the gum on the inside then it has a hint of mint. This gums sticks on dentures and is hard to get off. Wrigley gum is not for people that have dentures but it does not stick like this gum. Save your money don't buy it.
