Trident Vitality Awaken

Taste: The box says "A peppy peppermint with a dash of ginseng," and it's a peppy peppermint, indeed. You get the initial blast of freshness you do with most pellet gums, especially those with a liquid center, and when the candy shell dissolves you're left with a soft mint that's easy on the taste buds and sinuses.

Texture: Sub-par. It starts off nice, with a tiny burst of goo in the middle, and then just goes downhill. It gets way too soft, way too fast. I suppose some might like this kind of softness, but it's really stringy and sticky. There'll be no cracking, snapping or popping with this gum.

Presentation: I don't know what's going on here. It's your average pellet pack, placed inside a fancy-looking box. Why? It seems like overkill. It's also kind of annoying. Traditionally, pellet packs are in cardboard sleeves, so you can push the pack out from one end so that it pops out the other. With this box, it's only open on one end, so there's nowhere to push the pellet pack out from. You have to either shake it, or get a little fingernail's grip on the pack to pull it out. The whole thing seems really unnecessary, and kinda pretentious to me. The graphics themselves are nice, a metallic silver with a simple dew-speckled peppermint leaf, but I think it would have been just as effective on your standard pellet pack sleeve. (ETA: I found an article that said one of the purposes of the box was so that the pellet pack wouldn't fall out. Has anyone ever had an issue with pellet packs falling out of their sleeves? I haven't... and we all know how much gum I chew.)

Overall: Move over Extra Dessert Delights, Trident Vitality has caught the attention of the Gum World. Everyone's talking about it. However, in the opinion of this Gum Girl, the "Latest and Greatest" falls short. In the interest of science, I popped a piece of "Awaken" on this fine Monday morning as I got into the car to drive to work, before drinking my coffee. I arrived at my job still as tired and dragging as I would any other Monday morning. It's a Gum Gimmick, pure and simple. Much like Stride Shift, and 5 React, there's really nothing special about Trident Vitality. They just like to make you think there is.

Rating: oo (two gumballs)

Edixion... have you ever tried Google Translate? http://translate.google.com I put your comments into there when you post them and I (mostly) understand what you're trying to say. :)

*-Using Google Translate-*, I know about this tool but no, even I know that the messages sometimes lose their sense and good a mistranslated word changes all the rest of the sentence ... But will use it, I guess it's better than to remain being a misfit spanish phenomenon haha.

I just wanted to let you know -- I have a ton of problems with Trident gum falling out of it's sleeve. After a long day of bouncing around in my handbag, the two separate from one another in a messy divorce. I switched from Orbit to Trident in order to lessen all the gum wrappers I have laying around, but the separation of the sleeve from the gum oftentimes allows the gum to burst out of its pockets, causing a candy, sticky mess. In summary, I like the new box because I often have trouble with the Trident's sleeves.

I had a friend tell me about Trident Vitality and she said that it was realy good. I am a gum lover so I decided to try it. When I bought it for $1.59 I got nine pices of gum. So not worth the money. Then I decided to see why everyone likes it so much. I had the same expericen as you did. You get the gush of peppermint and then the peppermint disappers and your left with a sticky, stringy gum. I don't like those kinds of gum. Whats so special about vitality. I've been trying to look it up and I can't find a thing on it. I am not buying this gum again.

i've used this and infact i have like 9 packs stocked up for when school starts up.. i found that it works when i work sunday night then open up with my mother on sunday morning.. though i found that if you stop chewing the gum before the flavor runs out you become sleepy again.. i just wish i knew more about gensing.. maybe it just dosen't work for everyone.. i was awake for the 7am -1 pm shift when i normaly would have been a sleep. thats all i know.

Right now this is my go to gum. I usually chew a piece the entire day. Yes, I like the flavor at first but after the flavor is gone which is usually after 5 -10 min. it's all about the texture and viscosity of the gum after words. so many gums start off chewing soft then turn very viscous and hard. Used to love Wrigley's double mint back when it was in the foil wrap before they changed the formula. I don't like the packaging so much and i don't see any benefit from the energy boost, but at least I can chew on it all day.

Love this gum! Then it disappeared from walmart. Now on a search for it elsewhere.

Trident Vitality is a VERY good product. HELLO! THE FLAVOR LASTS AND LASTS! The Awaken flavor is nice! IT'S NOT OVERPOWERING, and stays pleasantly "in the background". I do feel a bit uncomfortable with its strong point, however. My question always is, "what chemical do they use to sustain the flavor for such a long time?" ****Because of your ages, (the bloggers for this site), maybe you prefer something with more intensity? But, how awful do most gums taste once the flavor is gone? And it disappears so quickly?!
